The Plumb Line under the Drowned Stair
Ruin Dock is a narrow shelf of stone, rope, and stubborn return. A fallen stair gives the only lasting footing in the drowned channels, while a marked climb leads from Plumb Court toward scorpion ground and the Sunken Ruin.

The skiff from Sunpier costs 10 gold and lands beside the same post that carries the return. The arrival tile, gangplank, fare board, and first retreat stones stay free of salvage so a wounded or broke traveler can turn around. Read that westward line before climbing toward any gem, fitting, or old glass.

Dockreeve Farid’s Plumb Court faces the water beside tide marks, current cords, and a public depth board. In the world-bible record, the Ruin Dockhand keeps the skiff while sounders, ropekeepers, and salvagers decide whether a line is safe enough to lower. The dock has shelter and a shared pot, but no bank, depot, or purchasable room to replace Sunpier’s preparation.

The eastern path rises past marked salvage racks toward the scorpion approach and Sunken Ruin. Broken stones offer one hard reset before hostile ground. Keep food away from scorpion oil, judge old glass in daylight, and never let the promise of a better find erase the short route back to the west skiff.
