Landmarks and words
Read What Was Left
A named road, readable book, or notice board gives the next purpose without naming every turn beyond it.
First Hour
Ulna rewards the player who knows when to retreat. Learn Stonebrook's service loop, take a first fitting, test one dangerous road, and come home with enough gold and knowledge to push farther next time.

The road remembers
A failed road names the enemy, lost experience, dropped supplies, spent blessing, protected corpse, and the exact recovery point. Survival starts with knowing when to turn back.
The Ulna loop

Prepare in Stonebrook
Turn the opening 22 gold into the one level-one headpiece your vocation can actually wear.
Meet Smith Hadrik

Test one dangerous road
A Dire Wolf is the early lesson: distance from town matters as much as damage when the pack closes in.
Open the Bestiary

Return before empty
Bring gold and supplies back to Stonebrook, save them with Mira and Iva, restock, and choose the next push.

How Ulna tells a story
Ulna’s authored roads ask for more than a ledger of kills. Read landmarks and boards, carry proofs between people who disagree, and put tools, doors, and levers to use. A plain hunt remains an honest way to grow; the story road is meant to keep pace.
Landmarks and words
A named road, readable book, or notice board gives the next purpose without naming every turn beyond it.
Proofs and workings
Tools meet marked targets; proofs change hands; doors, levers, and return conversations remember what you did.
Hunt or authored road
Stay with the hunt while the cave holds you, or follow a road for experience, coin, items, access, and a name the realm remembers.
Eleven habits
Learn these in town and on the first roads. They are the difference between a useful retreat and an empty backpack far from the lamps.
Reserve a name, choose a vocation, and begin in Stonebrook, the mainland’s safe first stop.
Follow roads first. Roads connect town services, farms, training areas, and safer exits.
Talk to NPCs, open doors and containers, use stairs, and watch for named destinations.
Food supports recovery. Potions matter before you leave town roads.
Keep emergency healing separate from normal sustain so panic clicks do not empty your bag.
Auto-attacks exist, but aimed spells, fields, cones, and timing decide hard fights.
Hunt creatures near your level, loot everything early, then learn which drops are worth space.
Return to town before supplies run dry. Sell loot, repair your plan, and buy for the next route.
Ask Banker Mira to deposit or withdraw 1, 10, or All gold after a confirmation review. Ask Depot Clerk Iva to move 1 or All of a carried non-coin stack.
Task boards and NPCs turn normal hunts into experience, coin, and useful knowledge about the road ahead.
Use signed roads, staffed boats, stairs, holes, and marked passages deliberately. Higher reward routes carry higher risk.

Route Planning
Stonebrook is the service loop, not the whole journey. Compare the first outward roads by danger, recovery, and the landmark you will use to find home again.
