Traveler's Memory

Landmarks Beyond the Lamps

A usable road can be retold without opening a map. These wells, posts, shrines, junctions, market measures, and guarded field notes preserve route memory without turning late-game thresholds into solutions.

Shrines, forks, warnings, return lines, and Northwatch's working yard.

Road and Outpost Markers

North Road Shrine

Quarry road east of Stonebrook
The North Road Shrine and quarry verge
Built above the quarry runoff, the shrine offers a shallow roof, windbreak, water crock, tally ledge, and blue-topped homeward marker. It has no shop, bank, healing spell, or hidden passage.

Forest Fork Waymarker

East Road hunting bounds
The last blue-topped marker points home where one tight path bends toward wolf sign and one wagon-width track follows the evidence of stolen Stonebrook freight.

East Bounds Waymarker

Stonebrook east-gate hunting bounds
Low fog wisps crossing the East Bounds road and field edge
The blue-topped post stands beyond the last firm farm reference. Cropped field edges begin to thicken into thorn, alder, and low pine, while the packed road remains visually stronger than the cover.

Ash-Token Post

Stonebrook farm bend
The post stands where working farmland begins to yield to the near wilds. Its warning gives newcomers a visible boundary between ordinary road pressure and evidence that needs to be carried home.

Northwatch Turning Yard

Northwatch outpost
An Ironbound returning to Northwatch's open wagon turning yard
The North Road widens into a cart turn rather than stopping at a grand gate. Service clusters occupy the yard’s edges while the center remains open for wagons, pack animals, and returning patrols.

Northwatch Stable

Northwatch road edge
A Stonebrook stall, tack bench, water, and west-facing lane make the return destination unambiguous. The stable sits on the outpost edge so mounts can depart without crossing its service counters.

South Road Mourning Post

Mourning Verge south of Stonebrook
The South Road Mourning Post and cemetery approach
Its blue cap points home. An open lamp faces the maintained road, while a hooded stake faces the cemetery plots. The pocket around it remains clear enough to read the warning and turn around.

Wells, bridges, market measures, notices, and Lower Quay departures.

Stonebrook Civic Anchors
